Hello! I have taken down the ceiling and unfortunately, the plaster around the chimney came off in some places. There is a ledge at the top where the brick protrudes. What is the easiest way to repair it?

Does it have to be fixed then? Can't you cut down the rest?
Otherwise, buy mortar c or lime mortar and apply.

Exposed brick wall with cement and plastering in progress indoors, highlighting gypsum plaster as an alternative to cement. Smooth plastered kitchen wall with cooktop, showing alternatives to cement products for indoor use. And if you hate messing with cement products, plaster is a good alternative indoors. Nice to work with and allows for building thick layers in one application.

I say the complete opposite, you don't use gypsum mortar on bricks.
But everyone makes their choices, did you have pink gypsum primer before?
However, I'm not saying that what you've done is wrong or bad, just that I wouldn't have plastered with gypsum mortar.

Well, we got help from an adult instead.:)
Weber vetonit KRL was applied, and then covered with Tikkurila Yki Rouhepinnoite, a coarse baseboard and wall coating.
