I have an interior wall where the kitchen was, which is plastered brick. I have now removed the tiles and will chisel out to install new VP pipes, which means there are and will be larger holes.

How is this best repaired?

Can regular filler be used, or might it not dry given that it might need to fill in 1-3 cm thick?
Or is there a special "filler" better suited for this purpose?

Husfix, expensive but good. Does not shrink, can be sanded. The alternative is to slap on plaster.

Gypsum mortar/gypsum plaster. Can be applied in thick layers and is easy to work with. [link]
