Repair larger holes on interior wall
I have an interior wall where the kitchen was, which is plastered brick. I have now removed the tiles and will chisel out to install new VP pipes, which means there are and will be larger holes.
How is this best repaired?
Can regular filler be used, or might it not dry given that it might need to fill in 1-3 cm thick?
Or is there a special "filler" better suited for this purpose?

Gypsum plaster/gypsum render. Can be applied in thick layers and is easy to work with.
