Hello!
I am/have been putting up shelves in a lightweight concrete wall. In one spot, I was worried about hitting electrical cables in the wall and estimated that I had about 3cm to work with. I tried using a coarse drywall anchor in the wall at that spot (also used some real lightweight concrete plugs where I was sure I could drill deeper).

The drywall anchors seem to work well except on one shelf where I unscrewed them one too many times to double-check that no electrical cable was cut...

When I tested putting some weight on the bracket, they loosened quite quickly. I tried to solve the situation by filling the hole with construction adhesive and letting it cure with the brackets screwed into the adhesive. But that doesn't feel sturdy enough either.

Any tips on how to fix this? I don't want to move the bracket since the rest of the shelf is in place.

Thanks in advance, Jakob.

To clarify, I initially thought it was a plaster wall and therefore bought plaster anchors. It took me a while to realize that it wasn't, recently bought an apartment for the first time. And by then the damage was essentially already done.

Hi Jakob. I've done exactly the same thing 😓 I see it's been a while - how did you eventually solve the problem?
Best regards // Johan
