Hello,
Trying out this section of the forum and hope I chose the right one.
I have an apartment that is somewhat shabby and needs renovation. I'm not really sure how to proceed, so I'm asking in hopes that someone knowledgeable can give me some guidelines, etc.
The walls have at least four wallpapers on them and they look bubbly. There's plaster behind it, and it's sandy/damaged in the areas where the bubbles occur. What I'm wondering is whether I should remove the wallpapers and repair with plaster, or "cheat" and try some form of covering wallpaper?! Because you don't need to re-plaster everything, right? I hope not.
There are also cracks in the ceiling. You can see there are many layers of paint and patched repairs. Not nice at all. The ceiling is also plaster.
Very grateful for answers!
Regards,
Dave
