Hello!

I have a concrete balcony that I'm in the process of fixing up. When we moved in last fall, it was painted all around with plastic paint, and much of the paint on the top side had disappeared, which led to the paint hanging on the underside.

So this spring, I started sanding the top side with a concrete floor sander. It took a few hours, but overall it became smooth and nice, though of course with a few small craters here and there.

Concrete balcony with repaired surface, some patches of moss, and a visible extension cord. Railings and building wall are also visible. Renovation in progress. Concrete balcony view at dusk, recently sanded, with iron railing, adjacent to a building facade with windows and shutters; overcast sky.

The underside was a real nightmare to get clean, but it took a day with a giraffe model concrete sander. During the process, I've knocked down everything loose. The rebar that is visible I've treated with rust converter and epoxy primer.

Concrete balcony with peeling paint above a garage. The underside shows visible patches where paint has fallen off, with a light fixture nearby. Concrete balcony under renovation with scaffolding and tools underneath. Peeling paint is visible, flowers on railing above a garage door. Concrete balcony with visible erosion, above white garage doors, adorned with flower boxes. Scaffolding and construction tools are present below.

So now I have a few questions I hope someone can answer. To fix what I've knocked loose, I've bought Weber Rep05 and Rep25, which I understand is suitable mortar for this. Rep05 is supposed to be slurried on, and this is where I'm stuck. Should I mix it so thin that it can just be brushed on, a notch thicker than paint? I've searched and not really gotten clear on how to start.

Thankful for answers.

And one more question. Anyone have tips on good filler to smooth out the last bit on the top side?
