Renovating interior walls 60s house, masonite, smell?
I'm tearing down pretty much everything. I'm down to the standing planks now (log house) will plan down the irregularities, put in plastic and drywallOrmriauga said:
See picture, that's what it looks like after all the tretex is gone.
Do you really need to plane if you're going to put OSB and drywall afterwards?A Ackeobd said:
We're skipping the OSB, apparently throwing money away when you have such a good base with standing planks. The OSB is really there to be able to hang things up, etc. Now we have a stable wall where you can hang whatever you want, really. So it will probably just be 13 mm gypsumOrmriauga said:
Are you thinking the same?
As you can see in the previous post I just stripped the wallpaper. I put 6mm renovation plasterboard on top of tretex and painted. Moreover, I took down all the paper-stretched ceilings and replaced them with plasterboard.A Ackeobd said:We skip OSB, apparently throwing money down the drain when you have such a good base with standing planks. Additionally, I did frame a new wall in a room with OSB and plasterboard on top.
