Hi
I'm going to re-plaster my basement walls on the inside as the plaster has fallen off. The house was recently re-drained, so hopefully, it won't happen again. It's concerning 2 exterior walls, the interior walls are fine.

Do I need to use reinforcement mesh? The people at the store said it wasn't necessary, but it's a small extra cost if the result becomes more durable and better. The plaster on the walls will be quite thick as it's 3.5 cm from top to bottom, so I'll have to apply the plaster in two thicker layers, and the idea was to place the mesh between them. What do you think? :S

The plaster I'm using is Finja's C mortar and their primer.

According to the store, I should work like this, somewhat simplified.
1. Prime
2. Plaster thicker
3. Prime
4. Plaster thicker
Done

Any comments on that?

Grateful for quick responses as I'm on my last week of vacation now and it needs to be finished ;)
