Going to cover up a 1 by 1 meter window, now someone said I should leave the window because it was easier.

Questions...

1. Remove the window or not
2. How to make it airtight with the old new plastic
3. If I don't want to put up new siding more than just where the window was, how do I seal it most easily there without cutting at an angle. Can you silicone the seams? It's against a hedge so it doesn't really matter.
4. How do I attach the paper? Can you tape, staple gun?

That’s probably it.

Not sure if I understand but I'll give it a try
1. You're going to put paneling over the window and have it remain underneath at the same time? How will it be on the inside then? I vote for you to remove the window. Rent or borrow a reciprocating saw, and it's pretty quickly done.
2. The plastic should be on the inside, and then you should try to get as much overlap as possible. Tape with age-resistant tape.
3. Don't understand? So that it doesn't show, you may want to replace entire planks. Shouldn't be too many if you have vertical paneling. I don't believe in silicone.
4. You can staple the paper or attach it with roofing nails

Thanks, it's horizontal paneling and it won't matter if it's visible, so I'll see how I fix it up.
Reciprocating saw? Might need to remove them somehow =)
It was the sheathing I was most concerned about right now so thanks...

I'll sort it out soon...
