Hey!

We're thinking of freshening up our place a bit, where there used to be a Greek restaurant.
They "decorated" by putting a lot (read tons) of filler on the walls, creating rough patterns.

Apart from the stone tiles they have attached to the wall, I'm now thinking of removing this filler... but how?

Is it just a matter of going at it with a chisel and giraffe sander, or does anyone have a better solution?

Sand down the worst part and then apply a skim coat. I did that in a "pizzavalv" with texture.

Thanks for the answer olofh!
Any specific sharpening technique? Tools?

I mostly stick to plumbing and don’t know much about plastering, but I'll figure it out. =)

Well, it was a very small area so I used a sander and it used up a lot of sandpaper.

Ah okay.
This is quite a large space where they've slapped putty on all the walls and pillars.
I think one of the walls is gypsum but the rest is concrete so maybe I can chip away what's on the concrete.
