I need to remove a part of my light rail (see image, from the red circle) as craftsmen will be performing some work.
I prefer it to be done as neatly as possible.

1. Is there anything specific I should consider when removing the outlet?

2. Regarding the rail, the cover itself has a notch and it is fastened with four nails (see image). Is it easiest to use a flat screwdriver to pry it off, or is there a better way?

3. To remove the actual "wall" of the light rail, I was thinking of using a dremel. Or is it better to use something like a Japanese saw? Do you have any tips on how this can be done in the best way?

4. Any tips for making the reinstallation as neat as possible? Sanding the edges? Using a caulking gun?

5. Will it look neat on the parts I might need to repaint or will it look patchy if I don’t have the exact right color?
