Hello.

I am planning to remove a wall in the lower floor of my split-level house. It is a wall made of concrete blocks that needs to be removed, and the house above is a wooden house. (Västkuststuga)

The distance between the walls is 3.4m, which means there are 5 floor joists (45x195, 4.6m long) from the floor above that need to be supported.

Elsewhere in the house, there is a steel beam over an opening in the concrete blocks, and when I measured it, I found it to be an HEA 120.

What I'm wondering is if anyone knows whether an HEA 120 is sufficient to support the above?

Hello!

I had gone to a building store and asked if they were enough or if it should be a glulam beam or something
