I'm having some trouble setting up an Elfa system at home. We live in a fairly newly built house (2011) and the previous occupants haven't put anything up on the walls, which seemed strange.
The wall I'm trying to screw into is concrete. I've tried both a hammer drill and an impact drill, and I got as far as 4 centimeters in before hitting rebar. I've also tested my multi-detector on the walls and it detects rebar everywhere.
The Elfa is to be used as a bookshelf. Is 4 cm sufficient, or do I somehow need to go deeper? If so, how should I proceed? Or should I simply give up and try something else?
