Hi! Got advice from an electrician on where to cut for recessed electrical wiring in a concrete wall. A horizontal line. Excitedly, I rented a good concrete wall chaser, set it to about 25mm and went for it. Occasionally it jammed and sparked, but every time I checked it was because of stones. However, I discovered when I was done that one of the "stones" was actually a rebar, which is now cut with two fine cuts. The rebar was shallow, the outer part only about 1cm from the wall's surface. It's an 8-meter-long wall, the rebar was about 3 meters in. The cut is 1 meter from the floor.

What the heck do I do now? Splice? Hope for the best? I'm in a bit of a panic. Thanks in advance.

It makes no practical difference for the strength if there is 1 standing iron that is cut in a wall :-)
