Hello
I am going to reinforce the foundation to pour the slab for a 15m2 extension. One floor with a metal roof.
The edge beam is 300 wide & 300 deep.
Edge elements as the outer layer

I am going to buy reinforcement mesh and reinforcement for the edge beam.
The mesh should extend over the edge beam as well.

What thickness is suitable for the reinforcement mesh?

Is it sufficient with double reinforcement bars at the bottom of the edge beam if the mesh extends at the top? If so, what thickness?
Or do I need to buy ready-made cages?

Any other tips & advice?

Is it clear what loads need to be addressed?

Normally, you manage well with 6150 mesh and double 12s in the edge beam. I find it hard to see that it wouldn't suffice for the small extension you describe.

Thank you so much!
May I ask one last silly question? The two 12s at the bottom of the edge beam, how high from the bottom should I fix them?

Edit. I only saw 5150 available at byggmax here. Will that be too weak?

Place the 12s on spacers that are 25-50mm, it's not that critical.
5150 works but it's easier to deform when walking around in the mold during casting. But maybe 15m2 is small enough that no one needs to walk in the mold?

Great! Thanks
Now I have a better understanding.
