Hello

I am going to cast my chimney crown approximately 65 x 65 cm.

Does it need to be reinforced, and if so, how much?

Best regards

My former crown was "reinforced" with some kind of slightly thicker steel wire. It had lasted for 40 years.

It is probably a bit doubtful if it is necessary, but it hardly hurts as the crown is exposed to frost. A ROT-net as used for floor work would probably work, with a wire diameter of about 2.5-3 mm.
