I have a question regarding framing a wall. To avoid having to place the roof trusses exactly where the wall stud is, skilled carpenters can "notch" in a top plate so that the trusses can be placed anywhere.
How is it done? Can someone explain in an easy way?

A 45*220 K24 inserted into the wall stud (45*170) does the trick
