I have two questions regarding regulations for a deck (built on piers).

1. Does the main beam in the house need to be attached to the house wall all the way across, or is it possible to attach a short beam between the two deep-running beams (as close to the wall as possible) and then attach an intermediate beam to it at the patio door? That would make it a bit easier.

2. In one spot, I do not intend to attach any main beam to the house but instead use a pier. However, the pier could not be placed as close to the house as I wanted, so it stands about 30 cm from the wall. Further away from the house, there is another pier, and my idea is to place posts in the piers and beams on the posts (not entirely surprising perhaps) but to let the beam extend past the post all the way to the house and then attach a short beam between it and the next deep-running beam. Can they withstand the pressure? The entire structure will be in 45x195.

I don't understand the first one.

But the second one I interpret as you having an overhang for floor joists 30 cm towards the house? And that's fine!

I have still given up the idea of the one. Thank you for the answer.
