Regulations for masonry chimney hood
I know the question comes in variations...
We currently have a wood stove and a regular stove next to each other, and I want to get an "old-fashioned" hood over them.
The options seem to be.
1) Mookåpan or Tovenco's cottage model, but both cost 14,000kr complete with a fan.
2) Build up with thin lightweight concrete blocks and somehow attach a built-in fan to it
3) Build everything in wood (as someone on this site has done beautifully)
The heat coming from the wood stove makes me a bit concerned about whether wood is a good idea, so I'm wondering if anyone has any spontaneous ideas for a framework that can support lightweight concrete blocks.
Is it some kind of flat iron bars that should be welded together into a frame to support both the lightweight concrete blocks and the fan? Gypsum boards seem a bit fragile to hold with even though they can certainly be plastered....
I need some ideas to bounce around so please...

Hello.
I saw your message today regarding kitchen hoods.
Have you resolved it?
We have a similar problem.
We are renovating an old kitchen, planning to have an open fireplace and next to it a regular stove, trying to find an electric stove that matches the style.
I spoke with Mookåpan and they can do it but at what price!!
Our bricklayer wants to make his own but it will be HEAVY!
