Joist dimension?

I’m going to put up a couple of new interior walls. Which dimension do you suggest I use for the studs, 45x45 or 45x70?
I will be putting OSB+gypsum on each side and filling the wall with insulation.

45x45 works if you glue osbn onto the studs, but I choose 45x70 any day. Best results and faster.

45x70 and any door frames should be 120 mm. That way you avoid the rebate.

I have hung a kitchen on a glued 45x45 wall. Works excellently. Not only was the OSB glued to the studs, but the gypsum was also glued to the OSB. It becomes an incredibly rigid wall. But as mentioned, other options are indeed simpler. But it works.....

I paint it white, or won't it show that it is wider than the door frame? How wide is the door frame?

The wall will be 120 mm if you use 45x70 studs with double boards.
If you then use 120 mm frames, you just put trim on each side and then it's done.
If you use, for example, 95 mm frames, then you get a reveal to reach the level with the finished wall.

Another tip is to use 45x95 around the door opening and butt the first layer against it to allow the second layer to pass by, thus having something to attach the frame to. If you use 45x70 in the door opening with pre-drilled frames, the frame screw usually ends up right at the edge of the stud.

Who sells 120 frames? I usually shop at Bauhaus, Byggmax, or K-rauta. None of them have 120 frames on their website.

You should be able to find 120 frames at least at K-rauta and Bauhaus, Byggmax is tricky when it's not super standard stuff you need.

Have combed through their website without finding anything other than 93 and 68 door frames. At least when it comes to Bauhaus, my experience is that they don't have other things in the store than what is listed on the website.

Not unusual when I sold building materials (well, I remember them being 118 though), but that was a long time ago and I don't think you see them as often anymore, so maybe they've reduced the range to minimize tied-up capital. However, I think they should have removed the 68 instead, as I see very little use for it nowadays...

The alternative is to go down to 45x45 reglar and use 93 karm to avoid the smyg. But then maybe it's better with 70 regel and smyg or?
