There should be some kind of hardener you can mix into the cement for it to cure faster. What is it called and where can you get it?
 
I spoke with a very nice guy at Combimix about it. He strongly advised against private individuals doing it since the additive needs to be mixed in very carefully. If done incorrectly, the entire cement mixture would just be rubbish.

Maybe this only applies to their products.

I needed something myself that would make it set faster. I went with self-leveling compound combimix 780 in my case, as I "just" needed to fill up the space left after embedding nail battens in the slab...
 
It's just fixing an old drain pipe so the amount of cement to be used is minimal. Without a quick-setting agent, we can't use the toilet for a day and that's not feasible...
 
Sika has a number of products that, among others, plumbers use for quick sealing. I think it's Sika-3 you're looking for.
