Considering investing in a dust collector. For the pipe installation, I'm thinking spiro or PVC, are there any disadvantages with PVC? Otherwise, it feels like it's a bit more convenient/cheaper? Grateful for tips.

You get a lot of static electricity with plastic pipes, if you're unlucky you get a dust explosion.

Okay, I understand. But then you actually can't have like a 1-meter flexible hose right at the machine or even a plastic damper if you want to be on the safe side?

Plastic is often used in aggressive environments and for exhaust air for anesthetic gases in hospitals.
