It's now time to install fiber in the house. In certain municipalities, the property owner is responsible for trenching on their own land. I will be laying a 50mm conduit between the property boundary and the building myself. It is stated: "Leave the pipe ends visible at the property boundary as well as at the house wall, the rest can be refilled directly."

I would prefer a completely concealed installation, with nothing on the outside of the wall. I would like to bring the fiber in through the floor of the garage just inside the exterior wall next to the door. The floor is a cast concrete slab on the ground. The municipality, which is building the fiber network, has no objections to this execution.

Here comes the question: Is it sensible to dig the cable trench under the slab and then drill a hole from inside to outside? How difficult will it be to refill under the slab? How would you do it?

Can't you drill a 16-20 mm hole angled from the garage to the cable ditch where you end the 50 mm ducting, so that it ends up below ground level. I guess the fiber company will pull a 7 mm duct (max 14 mm) which they then pull into your drilled hole. Digging under the slab is overkill.

If you want to dig under the house, you can refill with gravel what you can reach, then push in some foam sealant.
