Problem with moisture at a low-placed door.

The concrete base follows the red line. Insulation has simply been pushed in under the threshold without protection against moisture and dampness.

What is the easiest way to remedy this? Cast up to the same level as the rest of the concrete base, or can you install some type of sheet metal or the like? I have fiber cement boards; perhaps it is enough to place a board that covers the insulation under the threshold?

The threshold is 30 mm above the ground.

Is there an entrance roof?
Is it possible to install a gutter there?
Protect the drive at the bottom with a backing strip and soft sealant.

Apply a flexible sealant, like Sealflex 522, in the opening of the gap with backing behind it. This way, water cannot find its way in.

Are you suggesting I should re-insulate with new material and then seal with sealant?

The problem as I see it is that the paving stones outside are at the same level and when it rains heavily, it has overflowed the channel and flowed towards the threshold.

Seal only in front of the caulking in the threshold opening.
