We are going to plaster some walls in the basement with gypsum plaster. I have read that you should use primer underneath for better adhesion. I have primer for concrete floors. Can I use the same for the walls? I don't have it at home, so I can't see if it says anything on it...
On Finja's gypsum plaster it says that
*for smooth and non-absorbent surfaces such as concrete, the surface should be pre-treated with Finja Gipsprimer.
Absorbent surfaces should be pre-watered, not primed.
The content of gypsum plaster is not the same as regular plaster
Since it says gypsum primer, it must be a special primer specifically for gypsum plaster.
Otherwise, it should have said Finja MSA primer.
I don't know if I should take the chance, it's not fun if you have to redo the work.
Now I don't know what brand you have for the gypsum plaster.

As mentioned, using gypsum plaster on basement walls is usually questionable, at least if it's exterior walls below ground that are not dry, I would say. The primer for gypsum plaster is not the same as regular primer at all. The primer for gypsum plaster (at least the one I've used) is red, sticky, and contains sand—the end result is as if the wall were sandpaper, or if you play tennis, like plexipave... But such primer is only needed if you have a non-absorbent and smooth surface. On plaster or concrete, it's enough to moisten, or apply a thin coat with porridge-like gypsum plaster as a "priming coat."
