Hi, I'm going to tile the kitchen wall above the sink and I'm wondering if you need to prime the new drywall for the adhesive to stick better?
It is an exterior wall with plastic behind the drywall.

Yes, you should use primer. Otherwise, the water in the tile adhesive will be absorbed into the plaster wall, leaving too little water in the adhesive for it to set properly.
Thank you,
The follow-up question then becomes which primer to use, I still have some Alfix red (diff dense?) that I used in the bathroom, and I also have a bit of MD16 primer that I used before leveling the living room dip.
