Hello Everyone.
I am going to replace some load-bearing timber in an old cold garage.
I'm also going to replace the roof since it's leaking through the screw holes.
I checked prices now and saw that treated timber was cheaper.
It seems like an advantage to choose this instead, does anyone with knowledge in the field know the pros and cons?

Under certain conditions, tryckat can start to smell.
Then it is often of lower quality.
Go to the hardware store and select wood yourself, straight, densely grown, and knot-free.
Call around and compare prices and haggle.

what do we say about carport in pressure-treated vs Painted "regular" lumber?
I'm going to build a Carport (Cold garage) should one go untreated for the whole thing and paint or pressure-treated except for the panel which should be slatted

Is maintenance even necessary at all? Just keep the roof sealed.
The top will be regular timber... it will be more like a cold garage than a carport against the existing shed.
But let’s continue here.
Since I want it tight against the ground, should one lay a course with leca or cast a small curb to then transition to wood?
