Hi, at work a company came and installed impact protection around a building, on these posts (2 of them) we are supposed to mount a 50-70 kilo hose holder. My question is: The posts were driven a bit into the ground/hole and these holes were filled with gravel. The posts didn't feel very firmly anchored but as part of a fence they work as impact protection, I think :-) then I asked the client if they would support the hose holders and he said that over time they will "settle"! The rain washes down the small gravel in the hole and it becomes firm! What do you think?

Constant load of 50-70 kg sounds like a lot. Unfortunately, I would think that you might have problems with the pole bending or sinking.

The ground underneath seems hard. The fence has posts with a distance of 2.5m and a stable railing. Then there is a small angle iron of 80cm that is welded to a post that is cast. My main question is whether gravel in a hole can settle within a reasonable time (6 months)?
