Wrong forum section maybe, please move if that's the case.
Anyway, I would need good pictures or a very detailed description of how to quickly build a porch roof as I obviously have no say in the weather...
There's also a lot going on both at work and at home, so I don't have time to figure something clever out when yr.no promises rain and snow in the near future.
Conditions: 150 cm wide, flat and slanted down from the house. Supported on the sides by two brackets or whatever you call them, you know, triangles. Max height from front to back is about 30 cm. The covering will probably just be felt, I'm afraid it builds too much with battens and tiles? I'm not sure what the angle will be, and there are minimum limits that are probably good to follow.
What do I build the "brackets" from? Is 2"2 enough or does it need to be more robust? Then there's an amusing little detail that I thought about umpteen times when I re-paneled the wall but still forgot; there's no stud behind... How do I attach everything so it stays in place?
Hope for answers!

They are available ready-made to purchase, but these might not be large enough...
Hello! No drawing but rather a detailed description of how to build a skämtak as you are requesting can be found here http://www.viivilla.se/Gor-det-sjalv/Tak/Snyggt-tak-till-ytterdorren.aspx
Here you go, it's nice if you no longer have to think about how to deal with the screen roof. Your problem with the fastening, if you have vertical paneling, you can see where you've nailed it, and then you have a nailing batten behind it. Measure where you plan to have the top edge and see if you have a nailing batten nearby, then measure where you should screw the next hole. The nailing battens are nailed to a beam, so if you find them, it will be solid behind the paneling, and the screw will hold well.
