Hello!
A company has started construction of a pool and has completed the excavation step and also poured the pool slab.

I noticed afterward, one day after the slab was poured, that the rebar does not overlap in certain places. I pointed this out, but they claim that they have built many pools this way and it has never been a problem.

What do you think about the rebar according to the picture?

  • Construction of a pool with visible rebar grid on concrete base, surrounded by dug-out soil. Worker operating machinery to pour concrete.
Problems with this type of construction generally arise after the warranty period. It's clear that the company skimp not only on the reinforcement mesh, but also on the spacers. It's a clear sloppy job.

Yes I agree. And I am stupid that paid for the job day before it was ”ready”. The drain pump was added same day as the casting and I am unsure if that one is ok as well..
