Yes, has anyone seen any ready construction for an airy loft railing/barrier with something like aluminum rods and polycarbonate panels? So it looks like low glass walls in the loft :)

We want polycarbonate or something similar so the kids can have fun up there too ;)

Tempered glass would not be as scratch sensitive

Preferably laminated glass. If an accident occurs, the children won't go straight through and glass shards won't fall to the lower floor and hit someone on the head.

Best regards

If you are willing to build something on your own, polycarbonate is really easy to work with. It can be cut/sawed and drilled without problems for easy installation. It is true that polycarbonate sheets are more susceptible to scratches than glass, but the material is also practically unbreakable. So from a safety perspective, it might feel more reassuring knowing that the kids can play safely in the loft with a polycarbonate railing rather than glass. There are further comparisons here between transparent sheets of polycarbonate makrolan and regular glass.
