Recently did an attic for a customer where both the ceiling and walls are plyfa.
The walls are mostly OSB and then 4mm plywood that is glued and nailed.

Some of the walls and ceilings are 7mm plywood, I would say the cost options are about the same.

Both types are mounted with a nail gun. And it becomes almost invisible.

There are some pictures on Instagram @byggochkonstruktion and @villalipkin
Thank you, it turned out great!

First one I found, but it's available in more places

Then there is also with façade/L shaped edge as you wrote. There you can write/nail one and glue them together on the other bevel
Thanks! That was poorly googled by me.

I'm also considering using plywood as the inner layer for an Attefall house that we're going to build. How did you handle fastening? Which boards did you use? How do you manage around window/door openings?

Hi, I thought a lot about fastening but ended up with a simple solution and used a brass-colored wood screw. It blends in and you hardly see the screws. Around windows and doors, I used plywood reveals, so no casings. I had plywood on the ceiling too, no crown molding. Against the floor, I used plywood strips that I routed a simple profile on.

Do you have any pictures where you can see the screws and around the windows?

Regular nails and especially brads are even more discreet and invisible due to smaller heads compared to screws.

I will probably use nail guns next time after all. Someone scared me about the strength since I have it on the ceiling too.

hi,
what type of plywood did you use? is it pine (k-plyfa)? regards

I can contribute some practical experience on this now four years later! Built my own Attefallshus where I put OSB and 7mm furniture plywood on the walls with a nail gun. I placed the joints without gaps as a gamble with the risk that they would "bulge" but it still looks great - however, it has significantly yellowed four years later. See pictures:

  • Interior of an Attefall house showing a large window, wooden walls, a table with plants, and a clear view of a garden and trees outside.
  • Interior of a small wooden house with plywood walls, shelves, cabinets, a ladder, and various items like books, a globe, drinks, and clothes.
  • A small living area in a wooden cabin with large windows, a gray sofa, plants, a black stove, dining table with chairs, and greenery outside.
  • Interior of a bright, wooden tiny house with large windows, showing two people sitting on a sofa, a scenic view outside, and a modern stove.
  • Interior of a small cabin with wooden walls and ceiling, featuring a polished wooden floor, built-in shelving, and a view of a window with outdoor scenery.
