Hello,
I am renovating a basement room where there are two external walls. Previously, there were many layers of wallpaper on the walls. Moisture has seeped into the wall because the edge strip of the Platon matting came loose at the top, and the downpipe leaked water against the wall. I have addressed the external problems and will now fix the better walls in the basement room.

I am removing all organic material on the interior walls and am considering the following solution:
Platon multi on the interior walls where I make sure to leave an air gap at the bottom and top. On the Platon matting, I plan to install wooden battens along with OSB and gypsum. No insulation.

I have had an inspection of the drainage, and it should be okay.

What are your experiences with similar solutions?

Sounds like a safe working solution.
