I need to adjust some joists under the deck boards and was thinking of building on with something like the plastic cutting boards are made of, does anyone know where you can buy sheets so I can cut strips. I need thickness 12 mm and 7-8 mm or maybe someone has another tip!?

I usually use these:

Alternatively, buy a cutting board at IKEA and saw suitable pieces :)
Those feel a bit too "fiddly" and a cutting board is unfortunately not an option either as many of those are needed, but thanks for the tip. Anyone else have suggestions or tips on where to buy plastic?

Thanks for the tips but partly they are too thin and when I have to lay a rule that is 3.5 m long it becomes many pieces.... therefore I would like to have a plastic sheet so I can cut strips.

Do you really need to place it under the entire rule?
Can you attach a picture?

Within the industry, plastic sheets of various thicknesses are used. Search for glidplast or slitplast and you should find a supplier.

(But isn't it easier to align the studs by screwing a new stud next to it?)

Here's how it looks, it leans against the wall instead of away, so I would need to place all the studs except for the outermost and the one closest to the wall, that's why I was thinking plastic strips Wooden deck with boards sloping towards the wall, red brush leaning against the wall, light shadowing across the surface.

Isn't it easier to lift the studs? Then you only need one/two shims under each joist hanger (or whatever the studs are resting on)

Why don't you just split an impressed board and use it as a spacer? Or is there any reason to involve plastic spacers?

The innermost one is attached to the wall and it was a bit hard to find enough to fasten it there, so that's why I don't want to take it off and raise it. There, it might be possible to split and build up the stud, but on the others, so little is needed that I can't manage to split it that thin.

See what I answered Matcan. I thought it was easy to find plastic but it wasn't.

Split a strip and place it on the innermost rule, then raise the others :)

Don't know how thin you can't split, but there's a good reason to buy some new tools so you can fix it ;)
