Hi! I'm going to install a windowsill in a cold garage. Can you use a plastic sheet that you place on the wood under the windowsill to prevent condensation from exposing the wood to rot?

No plastic, but wind barrier is good, however, the easiest is to buy wind barrier tape like this..
