I asked earlier about a media wall, but one of the main points got lost in the shuffle, so I'm trying again :)

The idea is to build a new interior wall against the old exterior wall to hide wiring and such for a media wall. The plan was also to fill it with insulation to reduce the possibility of resonance and the like.

The question that came up in the previous thread was whether I should use plastic between the old wall and the insulation or not? Or air gap?

The current exterior wall is made of cast concrete with brick on the outside. Whether there is any other type of insulation in the concrete or between the concrete and brick, I have no idea.

Plastic? Not plastic? Air gap? Ask Bauhaus? No idea? :)

No plastic. (How much insulation are you thinking of? 45mm?)
An air gap is good, but then you need to encase the insulation so that it doesn't dust into the room.

You are building a piece of furniture, not a wall.

I think 70mm, so it won't be cramped with all the connections I was thinking.
