I'm renovating at home and have raised the ceiling up to the ridge.

I threw in a bunch of spotlights and put paneling over them. The thing is, I heard (without checking myself) that spot boxes were quite expensive. So I got a tip to build boxes out of plaster with the right dimensions. Of course, I have put plastic in the ceiling, but cut away the plastic where the spot boxes are. So no plastic above the boxes. I've done the same thing in the bathroom, but there it's plaster and waterproof paint.

I'm afraid I need to tear it all down again!!!

Grateful for advice and opinions.

What are you wondering? Are you concerned from a flammability standpoint, or risk of moisture damage?

It's the humidity that I'm thinking about.
