I'm about to insulate a floor from underneath. I plan to stretch a felt or plastic sheet on the underside of the joists and then attach 28x070 crosswise to the joists.

My idea is to use construction plastic because it's transparent (good when I blow in the insulation) and durable.

Can I create any problems by using plastic inside the house? I'm thinking about moisture, etc.

No, no problem with moisture as long as both floors are heated. It works with plastic, but it will dust more when blowing in the insulation. Better with a fiber cloth that works like a coffee filter.

The upper floor is a loft that is open to the lower floor, so the heat up there is really not an issue :-) Do you have any product names for any fiber fabric that might work?

No, not right now. But check out a garden store. It should be stretchable. Pull it without it breaking. Test pull it with both hands, it should not get bigger.
