Hello, we are renovating our entry floor and we have both interior and exterior walls made of Leca. They are plastered and such. We are thinking of installing renovation drywall directly on the walls to cover holes and other things and get a smooth surface. What kind of adhesive should be used, and is there any screw that can be used to secure the drywall to Leca?

I suggest that you repair the plaster or have the walls replastered instead.

Why not put up renovation plasterboard?

I used a lot of ARDEX S 48 in my project.

Doesn't age gracefully, "must" be filled to get an even wall

Unfortunately not, but it lasts a long time :)

If you want it cheap, you should repair the existing plaster yourself.

Plaster works well for gluing, however I recommend regular plasterboard instead of renovation plaster, the thin one is so floppy that it's hard to get it right, in my opinion.

oh, I was thinking renovation plasterboard because they're lighter.

There is ergolite which is 25% lighter than standard gypsum.

Keep in mind that the paper on the back of the drywall can mold if you place it on the exterior wall.

Will probably end up plastering

Threads like this make me so damn tired. TS, you're planning to renovate for years to come, but a decent glue for 1000 kronor is too expensive? Unbelievable.

I read that gypsum mortar worked perfectly for the purpose, but now it doesn't matter because, as I understand, it's preferable to try repairing the walls and filling them to get an even surface.
Since gypsum directly on the wall wasn't that great.
