In our newly purchased 60s house, we have a short little wall by the kitchen dining area that borders the chimney stack in the house. When we tore away the old green floral 60s wallpaper, some of the chimney stack plaster came off, in some places up to a couple of centimeters.
Do you think it is possible to fill the holes with putty, or do we need to repair with mortar to prevent it from cracking?
I am really a beginner when it comes to this kind of thing and grateful for help.
