Plaster on indoor brick, is mesh needed?
Hello.
The walls shown in the pictures are indoors, they need to be repaired and re-plastered. The ventilation duct needs to be removed and the hole bricked up.
I have been considering whether it might require mesh due to old cracks, bricked-up windows, radiator niches, etc.
Is there anyone kind here who knows about this and can say if mesh is needed and how it should be mounted if so?

I don't think it's necessary and before, one would never have installed it. That said, probably almost all craftsmen would install the net today. Who can afford to take a chance, right?
Here is a video on how to nail the net:

Thank you so much for the quick response.
That was what I was planning to do with the net and nail it into the joint, but when I asked for staples at Bauhaus, the guy there said it wouldn't work "to nail into concrete." I got the feeling that he wasn't quite sure about his claim. So, is it okay to nail the staples into the joint between the stones? What size/type should one use in that case?
