Nonsense.

With the funnel spray, the primer penetrates deeper than what a brooming can achieve as the material is flung against the surface at high speed. If a funnel-sprayed primer is so porous that it needs to be broomed, then something has been done incorrectly.
 
Right or wrong, the wall is sprayed now. I probably applied a bit thicker than 5kg/m2, but considering it should be against a drainage board and backfilled, it should work fine anyway.

If, instead of being sarcastic, you read what I wrote and consider the amount of rödgrund required for a dense surface when mortar is applied without butt joints, you'll understand why it's brushed after spraying...

Excuse the sarcasm :o it was unnecessary.

Sure, in extreme cases it's needed if the masonry is done very carelessly and deep holes and unfilled joints are left, but in the normal case not at all, at least according to me...
