Hello!

Do you think it's possible to plaster this existing wall (image1) to make it look like something similar to the image below (image 2)?

What material/mortar should be used? What should I keep in mind?

Thanks for a great forum and thanks in advance for the help!

Terraced garden steps with stone retaining walls and lush greenery including bushes and flowers alongside a red building.

Image 2
Curved gray plastered wall with a smooth finish, topped with stone tiles, surrounding a garden of green plants and shrubs.

Will never hold, the stones are just loose and will move.

Would probably just pressure wash the wall and consider the staircase. Maybe granite cladding on the steps would enhance it.

Don't think you can just plaster straight away either. Possibly if you apply a layer of facade insulation for plastered facades, and then mesh. Then the insulation can absorb certain movements. But I'm far from sure that such a construction would hold. Probably also requires ensuring that not too much water gets in from above, to avoid frost damage to the plaster.

Maybe it's easier to just build a new wall instead...
