How do you install a ceiling that you want to be smooth if it is to be attached to rafters at CC120? Do you install cross battens in a smart way to attach the drywall? I depend on the ceiling height, so I preferably don't want to attach anything underneath.

Thanks in advance.

Normally, one installs sparse paneling, which obviously adds some thickness (at least 28mm).

Framing for this purpose is quite an extensive job :(

Ok, thinning sounds nicer, and I can probably spare 28 mm... It's not huge areas, about 30 sqm, but definitely much more convenient with furring strips, I agree :-)

28x70 should, according to previous threads, be enough for cc120, if I remember correctly. Preferably set the spacing with cc30!

If you apply a layer of gips along the battens, you should use cc30. If you place the gips crosswise on the battens and apply more layers of gips, you can increase the cc measurement. The battens should be 36x70.

you can also place the glesen between the chairs but it's much more work

I have installed steel profiles before, but installing them at cc120 doesn't seem very appealing, I think I'd prefer gles.

Run sparse cc 30 and it will be fine :)
