I am going to enclose the attic space in our old brick house from the 1920s, the support beams will be moved out. The walls in the attic need to be plastered like the other walls, and I don't know which plaster mix to use. The brick wall is currently very rough, so I will also fill in a bit between the bricks. I've heard that you shouldn't apply a stronger mortar/plaster than the existing mortar/plaster, as that could risk cracks in the previous material!?! I have no idea what kind of mortar/plaster is currently there. Can anyone here on the forum suggest a mortar/plaster that I can apply without damaging what has been there since the 1920s? Grateful for all help.

B
will probably become lime use for you.

We glued drywall onto our brick wall.

But if you're going to plaster, regular c-bruk should work perfectly fine.

C-Bruk is probably the softest plaster mortar, I believe.
