In the storage room, I am now going to install 8 shelves that are about 2.48m long and 60cm deep.

Byggmax has a shelving system where you buy wall strips and brackets to attach these.
However, this becomes quite expensive considering that some strips are needed and a lot of brackets.

I am instead considering attaching them directly to the wall, this shouldn't be any problem since there are studs to screw into.
What kind of brackets should I then get that are sturdy enough to support shelves that are this large (60cm deep)?
These are available and cheap, but perhaps too small?

In the worst case, I'll have to buy shelves that are 40cm deep.
That should work with brackets that are 30cm deep, right?

However, I would much rather have 60cm depth!!

You probably won't be able to load much on them if you use those brackets. Just the shelves themselves weigh quite a bit. It seems like the whole point of such deep shelves is to be able to load a lot of things on them, right?

Yep, the idea is that you should be able to load a lot on them, yeah!

If I buy shelves with a depth of 40cm and 4 brackets that are 30 deep, shouldn't that work then?

What were you planning to put on the shelves? Unfortunately, you'll probably have to go with sturdy items. Those brackets you linked to will bend just from the weight of the shelf.

Don't expect to be able to load anything significant with those brackets.

I would recommend using a rail plus brackets (the longest possible in relation to the shelf's depth). The advantage here is that you can adjust the shelf height later if your needs change.

Or the best option of all, build custom with some studs (type 45x70 mm for example is fine or 45x95 if you are loading heavy). You can still use ready-made shelves or buy regular chipboard and cut to your liking. Build it like an H so that you have stud support in the wall and an equally long stud as a "pillar" in front; between these, you have cross braces that both hold together and the shelves can rest on.

Byggmax ELFA copy is affordable and of good quality.
If you look at ELFA's new prices, you might change your opinion about the prices ;)

I have a similar setup as the one you're thinking of, 220*60 on these brackets and have loaded around 50kg paint distributed along the length, 4 tracks on the wall take the load. Works perfectly.

I went shopping for the stuff today, and it turned into a compromise.

Now I bought stuff for a shelf that consists of 60cm deep shelf boards (exactly the ones I linked to in the first post).
For them, I have 4 wall rails where I attach 4 brackets to each shelf board that are 55cm deep.

This should be very stable, and on these shelves, I'll throw up a lot of heavy things.

Then I bought shelf boards that were half as deep (30cm).
I attach these with 6 brackets per shelf board, these brackets with 30cm depth:

This will not be as stable, but here, on the other hand, I'll store things that don't weigh nearly as much.

All in all, it cost 2500kr (including screws).
Pretty expensive after all for a few shelves, I must say.

Agree with kinglolle about custom-built. I myself have in the basement 45/45 studs attached to the ceiling and with regular chipboard as shelves. No fancy shelves there.
It doesn't cost many hundred kronor. The downside is, of course, the post at the front edge.
