Are you planning to hang anything in the pergola, or will it only consist of wooden beams across?
If it's just wooden beams, you can almost choose any dimension you want, the one you find most aesthetically pleasing.
When we attached our pergola to the house wall, I used spacers between the panel and the wooden beam to avoid trapping moisture.

Dimensions I cannot answer, but 45x195 should be sufficient, maybe even down to 120, maybe even 95?. It's really just its own weight that should be supported?
