Hi! I'm planning to build sliding doors for the bedroom with a slanted roof, without a frame. Is it okay to attach the tracks to a beam at the top and bottom? That's how it looks in the installation description. However, I can't find any measurements for the tracks, either at the top or bottom. Does anyone know what size beams I should use? I'd prefer them to take up as little space as possible.

We did that in our old house. Made an opening into a kattvind. You need about a 10cm board at the bottom so if you can live with stepping over it to enter the closet, it works great. It becomes kind of an external sliding door.

I adapted PAX and mounted them on the wall instead.

The upper rail was cut:

The lower could be mounted as on a wardrobe frame:

The final result:

When you cut the upper rail, how did you then attach it? I mean, now you couldn't use either the pieces that clamp it from above (and should be screwed in from underneath) or the pieces that "snap" into place behind/below. All that's left is a hole at each end, right? Did you compensate in any way?

I drilled and screwed...

Nice! Any idea how sensitive it is for the rails to be at the exact right distance (same as on a PAX frame) from each other vertically?

Pretty sensitive, actually. Otherwise, you can fold out the lower part. This is what my installation looks like:D
