Hi everyone on byggahus!

I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I'll give it a try anyway. I have a little question. I will be redoing the kitchen in the house. I plan to put a "floor" on the wall. We've found a parquet floor that we think looks nice. Will it be practical to have a parquet floor given it will be exposed to splashes from both the sink and the stove? It would be an advantage if we didn't have to put a glass sheet in front of it. Or is laminate preferred instead?

Best regards, Jens

I think pigment changes from oil splashes could be a problem. Try splashing some cooking oil on a piece and let it soak in.

The risk is probably very high that the seams between the planks will become black over time.

Thanks for the answers. I'll experiment a bit here at home :).
