I'm planning to put a section with paneling in our apartment.
Just 2m in the middle of the wall, not the entire wall length.
The paneling will be horizontal.
It's a concrete wall, so I quickly dismissed the idea of fastening each plank directly to the wall.
I’m thinking of putting up three 45x45 beams that I’ll then screw the panels into.
I know the paneling will stick out a bit, but I think it will look nice, it’s supposed to be behind our bed.
Do you think three beams are enough? With a CC of 100cm.
Any tips on other timber than 45x45 if you don’t want the wall to protrude as much?
Other thoughts, is this plan a bad idea?

3 pieces are more than enough. If there's a risk of reaching the panel during movement, you can use a bit of insulation behind, which will reduce the boxiness and drum effect. It can become quite annoying.
Nail with brads, 1.6mm in the groove, and possibly glue. Don't forget to paint in advance so that drying gaps don't show unnecessarily much.

I was planning to screw the panel in place, at least the planks at the bottom so they can be easily removed.
This is because we might want to change the floor in the future (we should probably do that first but it's not going to happen now
).
I'm also considering running a VP pipe at the back through the studs.
Any tips on a good way to do that through a 28mm stud? It's quite thin.
Should I just make a gap where I can place the VP? So not run the stud from floor to ceiling but leave a small hole in the middle where the VP can lie? Because I want to come out with the VP on one of the sides.
