Planning to build a playhouse.

I want to build it so it becomes a solid "chunk."

Considering using the same panel for the roof as I have for the facade.

I know it's not very durable in the long run, but after all, it's a playhouse.

What do you place under the panel on the sheathing?

I want to make a mitered joint at the ridge and the meeting at the bottom edge and panel according to the image.

Does anyone have a solution for the substrate?
How do you ensure it's sealed underneath?

On a metal roof, you lay battens... but I can't do that when the roof panel and wall panel meet in miter.

Grateful for tips!

No one has a tip?

Can I nail the outer panel directly onto the felt roof?

I would never build like that, but boards directly on the roofing felt is probably a reasonable solution in your case.

No, I know it's against the rules of the art.
But it's a playhouse, and I'm thinking it doesn't need to last 30 years.

Build! Learn what works and what ages unnecessarily fast so that neither you nor your children get the crazy idea to build a villa "like a lump"

Haha… we live in a newly built house with many special solutions.

If I built again, I would build with built-in gutters 😉

Maybe you have more money than sense?

Haha, not that either.
It's probably more about having an interest in design.
Tastes differ.
As I said, I live in a newly built house, we designed the house ourselves and built as much as we could ourselves.
We've done the interior entirely ourselves, so I'm not all thumbs.
And I know it's technically wrong in terms of construction to build like this.
I wouldn't build a villa in this way.

But I think it's insanely stylish.
Slim and minimalist.

Good!

Then you apparently find it easy to get credit for your projects and have no thought of paying it all off before the technical service life is reached.

Make your nice playhouse, learn from your own experiences

Sorry if I'm stirring up emotions.

Mostly wanted some construction tips.
I won't discuss finances here.

Something like this you had in mind?

A small wooden playhouse structure with an open front and seating inside, placed on sandy ground in an urban outdoor setting.
Close-up view of a wooden structure with triangular framing, set against a background of sand and greenery, possibly part of an outdoor building project.
Wooden sandbox with a small window and slide, set in a park area with trees and greenery in the background.

Exactly!!

Then you know how to do it now 👍

Yes, in terms of appearance, I know.
My idea is to use Råspont and then roofing felt.
And in that case, external panel flush with the roofing felt.
But I don't know how much water will end up between the panel and the felt.

That might be a bit silly. But it will probably last several years at least.
So go ahead with that.
